Sock of the Month club
This is from http://time4moretea.blogspot.com/ I came across her "sock of the month" idea and I like it!!!
"Join me in your own personal Sock of the Month Club.
To join you get your needles, yarn and patterns together for the next 12 months. Then each month you knit yourself a pair of socks. Then at the end of the year you have 12 socks."
I've started on my January pair and things are going well. I like the idea of picking my own pattern and yarn to use. I'll post a pic of my January socks when I get a chance to grab my camera back from my mother! I'm knitting the "gentleman's fancy socks" from Nancy Bush's Vintage Socks book. I'm using Lorna's Lace sport weight - in the Purple Iris colorway. As always, I'm converting to toe-up (I can get them to fit me better that way).

I'm knitting up the purple iris you sent me into socks right now too. I'm doing two at a time (but not toe-up). My socks will only be slightly-fancy--I'm doing to Columbine pattern from the Cat Bordhi book you sent me. Hmm. I see a trend here...you're a sock enabler!
thanks again....
Is there a waiting list I can get on to get a pair of socks? ;)
well, I'm already behind.... but if I ever catch up, I'll keep you in mind... hot pink right????
Hmmm... I did eight pairs of socks in the month of January, most of them for myself. Guess I can rejoin in the spring/summer.
